First renting without skipper with a catamaran Lagoon 380...this was the target
However, it seems I was over ambitious and we took a skipper. Manoeuvres with this "great" boat in the little Greek ports would have been not a clever decision. So I had to put my ambitions and proud aside for the safety of the family. And glad I did :-)
(1) We started from the port in Athens, Alimos. A place absolutely to avoid due to loud music, a lot of people, disco bars everywhere.
We had dinner in a nice restaurant on the beach with the other people from the flotille. Look that they are very nice
(1a) We had terrible night (noice) and left in the morning to Aigina, 10 miles South West from Athens. We agreed to meet in the old port of Epidavros and we made a stop on a great spot (think Nisida) with hot blue lagoon water.
(2) We arrived at the old port of Epidavros. I do not remember so much from the port, except there was an not friendly Greek skipper next to us. He did not allow to be second at his boat. End at night I saw him was sleeping in the sails because the skippers whole was to hot. The wind was 3-4 bt
Epidavros is agreable stop, however port was too little for all the boats
on our way to Vathi, a little charming port and family enjoying the trip and catamaran
(3) Vathi is a very nice little port you better arrive before 16h00. When you step out your ship, you arrie directly in the bars and restaurants and for the lagoon380 i paid 1.97€ port costs :-)
This is realy a nice place to go and stay the night
We had a great evening in a bar
Before going to Poros, we did a little stop in Russian Bay.
(4) Arriving at Poros. Very nice town with nice views and good change (after the little ports and fisher towns). A lot of big expensive boats and nice harbor
(5) on our way to Hydra (the Saint Tropez of Saronic Gulf)
Hydra is a great place. Unfortunately crowded port and I have some great memories from this great place.
We had some technical problems with the cable of the engine broken in the crowded harbor. Boats were in 3-4 rows. But it is worth it
There was always something happening in the little port
6) After Hydra, we went to Pedika. The wind was coming from the North, so we had to go on the motor quite a lot of time. Kids were enjoying the catamaran
(6) On our way to Perdika. A nice port South of Aigina (excellent with N-wind). Enjoying our last day
(7) Up to Athens/Alimos
